What’s coming with macOS 14 Sonoma?
Apple introduced macOS 14 Sonoma for Mac computers. The new features announced for macOS 14 include widget support for the desktop, brand new screensavers, Game Mode, and updated Safari.
With the new version, users will be able to add widgets to their desktop. This feature, which will work similarly to iPhone and iPad, will provide important details for computer and daily tasks.
Furthermore, Apple introduced a brand new Game Mode. The new mode optimizes Apple Silicon chips to deliver better FPS in games. It also reduces latency in AirPods and Xbox/PlayStation controllers. Many games, including Death Stranding Director’s Cut, are coming to Mac with macOS 14.
Some new features are coming for online meetings. Accordingly, you will be able to show documents, photos, or your desktop right behind your face. Additionally, a range of AR effects have been introduced for meetings.
Apple has also completely revamped the Safari browser. With new browser profiles, identification information, extensions, tab groups, and bookmarks will be separated. Apple is also making it easier to share passkeys and passwords through iCloud Keychain.

The new macOS version can be tested as part of the developer beta starting today. However, we expect a public beta to be available in July, and the stable version to be released in September-October.
